Sterling silver
All JH Conreen pieces are made from high quality 925 recycled sterling silver. With the right care, your piece will last a lifetime and develop a patina that makes it entirely your own.
Some pieces are intentionally patinated with a dark oxidised finish as part of the design. This surface treatment will evolve over time - wear and handling will naturally lighten areas of high contact, creating contrast that we consider part of the piece.

Day to day
WearingSterling silver is robust enough for daily wear - we make rings to be worn, not kept
WaterRemove before swimming, bathing, or using cleaning products. Prolonged water exposure will accelerate tarnishing
ChemicalsRemove before applying perfume, hand cream, or sanitiser. Allow products to absorb before putting your ring back on
SleepingRemove before sleeping - this reduces stress on the metal and gemstones over time

Cleaning
Regular cleanWipe with a soft, lint-free cloth after wearing to remove oils and residue
Deeper cleanUse a silver polishing cloth for high-polish areas. Avoid abrasive cloths or pastes which will scratch the surface
Patinated piecesDo not use silver dip or ultrasonic cleaners on oxidised pieces - these will strip the intentional dark finish
GemstonesClean gently with a soft damp cloth. Avoid soaking pieces with set stones

Storage
Your tinThe box your piece arrives in is designed for storage - lined to minimise tarnish
SeparationStore pieces separately to avoid scratching - silver is relatively soft and will mark against harder metals
Air exposureMinimise air and humidity exposure when storing. An anti-tarnish strip in the tin helps
